Katie was born and raised in Eastern Iowa, and lives and plays in Door County, Wisconsin. Her education has revolved around painting, sociology and graphic design at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She continues to learn from day to day moments of creative practice.
Her painting process is ever evolving with heavy influence from small towns, large families and anonymity. Themes of humor, often dark, and drama will make an appearance at times.
